Darksiders: Genesis is a top-down hack and slash game blended with action-adventure and puzzles. You play as a powerful swordsman War or an agile gunner Strife, use a great sword or various guns to fight against undead and demon creatures. Unlike Darksiders III, which abandoned the series’ classic mechanics, Darksiders series’ typical mechanics had all return to Darksiders: Genesis. The hack and slash similar to DMC again, Zelda-like type dungeon exploration has returned, and finally you can ride a horse again (the horse-riding is canceled in Darksiders III).
